My Favorite South Park Episodes

24.08.11

Over the past couple weeks I have started a free trial of Netflix streaming. In doing so, I've rediscovered great shows like Beavis and Butthead, movies like National Lampoon's Senior Trip, and documentaries like Dope, Sick, Love.

The one show I find myself watching more than any other however, is South Park.

South Park has been around for what seems to be forever, and although some of the storylines have been completely outrageous, it has maintained enough comedic relevance to make it worth a watch.

So in homage to South Park, here are my 5 favorite episodes! Enjoy!

5. Jared Has Aides (2002)

In this episode, Jared Fogle of Subway fame comes to South Park. He brings "aides", not "aids", and hilarity ensues.

4. Starvin Marvin (1997)

The boys decide to sponsor an "Effanopian" boy to get a free sportswatch, but when they deliver the impovershed child to their doorstep, the boys attempt to keep him. Eventually, they realize their mistake and come looking for the boy but Starvin Marvin' directs them to Cartman. A special appearance by Sally Struthers makes this episodes swiggity sweet!

3. City Sushi (2011)

The latest season of South Park has given us an instant classic. City Wok guy is back and battling against a new Japanese restaurant for Asian supremacy in South Park. My favorite line: "How come you put your "shitty" sushi right next to my "shitty" wok!?" "find a nudder "shitty" city to put your "shitty" sushi pwace!"

2. Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo (1997)

This Christmas classic is a must see each year. Oh, and if anyone has the Mr. Hankey Play Set, please send it to me ASAP. My daughter is already asking for one!

1. Simpsons Already Did it (2002)

This episode is more cool and "I can't believe they did that" then "Wow, that was a great story." The creators of South Park did a more derogatory episode making fun of Family Guy later on it is run. This one comes off more as an homage. A fun episode all the way around so if you have Netflix, check it out!

That's my list. Feel free to leave yours.
