It's time once again for the Jam of the Week! Now, for those 5 people that read this blog, you may remember I promised a song on Christmas day. Sadly, in the hustle and bustle of the holiday week, I was unable to post it. I apologize for my tardiness, but I really wanted to share this song with people, because it's such a well written and pretty song. The song is Christmas Time by the Smashing Pumpkins from the compilation album A Very Special Christmas Vol. 3.Nay, Ebenezer! Don't talk smack on punk covers! Tis the final breathe of the Christmas season, so I think it's appropriate to end with a newer ( relatively, it was recorded in 1997 ), traditional sounding Christmas song. It's a beautiful song, showing the skiill, lyrical and song writing capabilities of the Pumpkins and Billy Corgan. They were so good they could write a Christmas song and it was great. Thems were the days.
