Legions of Grateful Dead fans would canvas the States, and sometimes the Globe, in thier "Shaggin' Wagons" and clothes made of hemp, to religiously follow the Grateful Dead from show to show. The Dead's impact on future music is not founded on thier proflific skill, or domination of the popular music of thier day. ( though, Jerry Garca was known to play a mean guitar, and make awesome ice cream ) They made thier mark by touring like crazy and introducing tons of hippies/people to rock music, acid, and LSD.
So, this week I salute Jerr-Bear, Bob Wier and the rest of the Dead, by sharing thier only Top 10 hit ever, which oddly enough came in thier latter years. From the album In the Dark here is the awesome video, I loved as a little kid, for Touch of Grey.
